History | We are the third owners of this lovely vessel. She was built in 1999 in Dana Point, California. She was then called Jennie, and was owned by a couple from Alaska. In 2006, she was purchased by a couple from Vancouver and renamed Due North. Due North circumnavigated Vancouver Island, and has spent most of her time in the Pacific North West. We purchased her in 2021, and changed her name one more time to Eudora. We plan to explore the Pacific North West, and eventually head south, traverse the Panama Canal, and spend some time in the Caribbean. The dream would be to traverse the Atlantic and visit the UK, Germany, and Nordic waters.

Upgrades | Since we have owned Eudora, we have made a few upgrades to the systems on board, including the following:

  • Chart Plotter – Furuno TZ3
  • Dedicated Boat Computer – Dell PC running Time Zero and other navigation programs
  • Satellite Compass – Furuno SCX-20
  • Charger/Inverter – Victron 5000W system
  • Dehumidifier – ECOR built-in dedicated dehumidifier
  • Sensors/Monitoring – Across Ocean Systems (AOS) monitoring system, added NMEA devices for monitoring engine and boat operations.
  • Electrical – upgraded outlets to become smart outlets with built in USB charging.
  • Shore Power – replaced existing shore power with Smart Plug shore plug and line
  • Water System – new water pressure tank, shower sump pump, and water filter for the kitchen faucet.
  • Solar – added 5 x 190 watt solar panels on the pilot house roof. The average power generation is 700 watts during sun hours.
  • Hurricane Heating System – replaced all radiators and hoses, added one new zone for better heating in the master cabin.
  • Tender – Zar Rib10 with 20HP outboard motor. Installed cradle for tender on rear deck and upgraded the winches and winch lines to accommodate.

To-Do | There are still a few things on the to do/want to do list:

  • Additional tank sensors – install tank sensors for fresh water and black water tanks.
  • Interior Lighting – replace all interior lights with warm LEDs and add courtesy lights to stairwells.
